ALFA LAVAL INDIA SECURES A 40KLPD DISTILLERY

Alfa Laval India secures an important
distillery order
Alfa Laval India Limited signed a contract
for supply of a 40 KLPD Distillery Project with Octaga Green
Power & Sugar Company Ltd. (OGPSCL) to be located at village
Karnoor, Taluka kagal district Kolhapur, Maharashtra. The contract
was signed today by Satish Tandon, Managing Director, on behalf
of Alfa Laval India while Basab Paul, Managing Director signed the
contract on behalf of OGPSCL.
This plant will produce Anhydrous Alcohol
and Rectified Spirit. The Plant will be located at Village Karnoor,
Taluka Kagal, Dist. Kolhapur, Maharashtra. The 40 KLPD plant is
expandable to 60 KLPD capacity. Alfa Laval scope of supply includes
engineering of complete plant, with equipment supply for
Fermentation and automation of complete plant. The Plant is designed
to process various substrates as raw material viz., Cane Molasses,
Corn, Sorghum & Rice.
Plant is expected to be in stream by
May/June 2006
The Managing Director of OGPSCL, Basab Paul
intends to install the first of its kind Zero Pollution plant
incorporating the state of art technology. Basab Paul is son of Dr.
BB Paul renowned technocrat having 17 patents in the Sugar and
Alcohol Industry. He is also in advisory board of several national
and international bodies like the Ministry of Science & Technology,
Government of India, UNDP, London & IMF, Washington.
