Alfa Laval India bags
breakthrough orders in Thailand
Alfa Laval
India – a INR 390 crore Swedish Multinational, has secured two
breakthrough multi million rupee orders for alcohol plants in
Thailand. The orders were bagged against very stiff competition
from Indian as well as international players. These projects will
go a long way in establishing Alfa Laval project expertise in the
Thai alcohol market.
The first order is from
Sinsurang Liquor
Co.,Ltd, Thailand,
for
30, 000 LPD project
to produce potable alcohol - the FIRST complete plant being supplied
in Thailand to produce fine grade potable alcohol. Alfa Laval scope
of supply includes complete fermentation and distillation section.
Second order from
International Gasohol
Corporation Ltd.(IGA)-Thailand,
is also FIRST of its kind cassava based fuel ethanol plant, to be
supplied by Alfa Laval India. This
500,000 LPD plant is
based on the technology and process know how of KATZEN Inc, USA –
pioneer in the
development & commercialization of vapor-phase dehydration systems
for the production of anhydrous alcohol.
The project will be implemented in 3
phases, each phase with capacity of 170,000 liters per day. This is
the first phase of the project.
